On your arrival at Kozhikode, you will be welcomed and lodged into your resort by our executives. Once you freshen up, we will take you to the sightseeing of main attractions of Kozhikode like Mananchira Square, Pazhassiraja Museum, Lion's Park, Tali Temple and Kappad Beach, Peruvannamuzhi Dam and Ettumanoor Shiva Temple. Your overnight stay will be at Kappad beach resort during Kerala cultural tours.
Beypore is a small village on the mouth of Chaliyar River. Known locally as Vaypura, it lies 10 km south of Kozhikode. Here we will watch 1500 years' old traditions of Uru building, which are still practiced by the locals. Uru is a traditional mode of high seas transportation. Beypore port is among the oldest ports of India.
Mahe is popular beach in North Kerala which is thronged by tourists all year round. A small hamlet of fishermen is close to the beach. Enjoy a stroll under warm sun on the silvery sands of Mahe beach on third day of your Kerala cultural tours. Nearby Tagore Park houses Freedom Fighters Memorial and statue of French revolutionary Marianne. This former French town has 35000 peace loving inhabitants. It lies 58 km from Kozhikode. Main attractions of Mahe are Sri Krishna Temple, Othenan's Fort, Puthalam Temple and Light House.
We will enjoy watching traditional dance performances of Kerala like Kathakali, Theyyam, Thullal, Oppana, Margamkali and KoiKottikali in some of the renowned dance theaters and open air theaters that are spread across Kerala. The rich repertoire of Kerala dance forms is a reflection of the vibrant cultural heritage of Kerala.
With its mist covered mountains and pastoral valleys, Wayanad town of Kerala provides a delightful challenge to nature enthusiasts, trekkers and hikers. The town has some of the oldest tribes of the world, still untouched with modern civilization. Main attractions of Wayanad are Pallikkunnu Church, Varambetta Mosque, Puliyarmala Jain Temple, Koottamundu Glass Temple, Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Karlad Lake and Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary.
Ambalavayal Tribal Museum is 12 km south of Sultan Bathery in Wayanad. The museum exhibits some ancient finds that provide us important clues about the long lost civilizations of the region. Some artifacts are more than 2 thousand years old that depict the superior hunting skills of Wayanad tribes during Kerala cultural tours packages.
Cheruthuruthy is a famous riverside town located in Thrissur district of Kerala. It is famous for its wonderful eco gardens and lush green surroundings. The town is home to globally celebrated "Kalamandalam" dance form. Cheruthuruthy has several Ayurvedic treatment centers. You may practice here some yoga postures and have spa massages. Detoxification and weight reduction programs are run in several Ayurvedic treatment centers of Cheruthuruthy, Kalamandalam and Vallathol Museums are the main attractions of Cheruthuruthy.
After a hearty breakfast, we will start for sightseeing of the main attractions of Kochi (Cochin) like Jewish Synagogue, Fort Kochi, Marine Drive, Cochin Backwaters, Mattancherry Palace, Bolgatty Palace and Chinese Fishing Nets. The city is famous for its spice markets, beautiful beaches, historical buildings and beautiful ambience. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Kochi.
Alappuzha (Alleppey) is famous for its backwaters, beaches, mountains, temples and monuments. Main attractions of Alleppey are Krishnapuram Temple, Ambalapuzha, Aruthunkal, Kottayam and Kumarakom Backwaters. We will enjoy houseboat sailing here, and if you arrive at Alleppey during festive season, then you can also enjoy snake boat race during your stay in the city.
Thottapally is an important destination on the map of Kerala Ayurveda tour. Tourists around India and abroad come to Thottapally to have themselves treated with rare herbs in traditional style. One can also enjoy houseboat ride in Thottapally. We will pay a visit to Haripad Subramanian Snake Temple after lunch, which has 500 statues of snakes of different categories. Our overnight stay will be at Kovalam beach resort during Kerala cultural tours.
Kovalam has three crescent shaped beaches that lie in succession. Lighthouse beach is most popular among them and a large number of tourists throng here throughout the year. Other attractions of Kovalam are Panchkarma Center and Kovalam Fish Market. You can enjoy here speed boat racing and other water sports. Tiruvananthapuram Airport, which is 20 km away, is the nearest airport to Kovalam.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Tiruvananthapuram Airport by us in our air conditioned car for onward journey way back to your home. Your Kerala cultural tours ends.
